Could the journalist, based on the profession he holds, be considered as the writer or a scholar?
This assumption is still prevalent in our society that every person who has more power in writing and application of verbal arrays could become a journalist.
The literature and journalism are both dependent on language and verbal concept and writing in both is considered as the tool for transferring the meaning. But the common field of these two professions ends in the same point. This interpretation is correct that the journalist would gain more success in his profession if he is more dominant over the arts of writing. Such a process should not be assumed in this sense that the journalist is also a literate. Overall, writing has a meager share in the total journalistic skills. The more noticeable share is related to the searching, discovery and deduction power of the journalist. In the meantime, the power of utilizing literary arts has no equal application in all the fields of journalism. This role is less effective in the human-based reports and reporting more impressive phenomenon in such fields as news writing or interview.
However, these two domains cannot be considered as being equal but this point is true that the journalist who is more dominant on the minutes of eloquence, meaning and literary industries is more capable in his accomplishment.
