The phenomenal changes in hard and soft technologies may force every society in all areas such as media arena moverapidly to the knowledge-based society. Today knowledge is seen as a main source of power; also managing and producing knowledge have become very important if a nation wants to be powerful and wealthy. Although the phrases like “Knowledge based Economy” and “Knowledge era” indicate the importance of Knowledge-based society.
This research indicates the effect of knowledge management on economic effectiveness of media organizations. The research has been conducted in IRIB as the largest national media in Iran also the survey method has been used for this study. The library and internetresources such as books, articles and case studies has been utilized for collecting data and elementary indicators; of course in this article the questionnaire and the regression analysis has been used for studying the hypotheses.
The number of samples in this research is 151 with 5% error, so about 180 questionnaires distributed between staff in IRIB and 158 of them is considered to be appropriate for statistical analyzing
The findings in this research have emphasized the effect of knowledge management oneconomic effectiveness. Additionally all of dimensions and variables which have been used in the conceptual and analytical models for indicating the economic effectiveness in this paper have shown the same results compared with previous studies.
