In toddy world, the question of protection of data and relevant legal matters have become of great importance. The question of transnational transfer of data is the most ever increasing challenge of legal issue in various legal systems.
This paper is an effort to review this topic in reference to an agreement titled Privacy Shield signed between the United States of America and the European Union. At first, their approach towards the question of protection of data has been investigated and then developments taken place in exchange of data between the US and EU, covering the Safe Harbor agreement to the above mentioned document signed by them, has been thoroughly scrutinized so that by such investigation to arrive at a comprehensive and exclusive approach on the question of transnational data transfer between these two important global legal systems and the relevant gaps in the legal system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
